The connections to Hamburg are excellent for rail travellers from Germany and Europe. Hamburg has four long-distance railway stations. The central hub is Hamburg main station, the ICE train station Dammtor is only a few steps away from the main conference venue at HfMT.
Serving a wide range of european destinations at considerable frequency Hamburg Airport welcomes 37,000 passengers per day. Located within city limits it offers a train connection of only 30 minutes to the main conference venue at HfMT.
There are plans to organise a coordinated journey by bike (rally). You will find more information on this here later.
Travel documents and visa requirements
The entry formalities for Germany vary according to the country of origin. For citizens of the European Union Member Countries, a valid identity card is sufficient. Please address enquiries about entry requirements to your travel agent or to the local German consulate.
